Your Plastic Surgery & COVID-19

Your Plastic Surgery & COVID-19

Are you one of those, who was planning to undergo a plastic surgery procedure or had scheduled one for the upcoming months? No doubt, you'll have loads of questions about the ongoing situation with COVID-19.

Over the last few weeks, IndiCure has been in touch with many of our patients to their queries. We thought of compiling these most commonly asked queries along with the answers in this blog.
We have made this information available after consulting with our affiliated surgeons and hospitals. Since the situation is unfolding all the time, IndiCure will update this blog as soon as more information becomes available.

1. When will I be able to book my plastic surgery?
At this moment, IndiCure cannot assure the exact date, as this depends on the closure of a state of emergency in India as well as your own country. As soon as the situation uplifts, and we are sure it safe for you to travel; we will start re-scheduling all the postponed surgeries and line-up new patients.

2. Will I be on the waiting list for plastic surgery once the situation improves?
NO. We do have patients waiting for their surgeries, but our dedicated team is doing consultations through tele-medicine. New slots will be provided based on bookings. Hence, we request our patients to pre-book their dates in advance.

3. Can I have a consultation at this moment?
Yes, we are currently offering tele-consultations by appointment. If you would like to arrange a telephonic consultation with one of our plastic surgeons, we request you to contact us by mail or phone.

4. What if I book a procedure for a future date but it doesn't happen as decided?
At the moment, anyone can pre-book any plastic surgery procedure at no cost. Our case manager will reach out to you and confirm the date with you once the date is closer.
5. I have booked a procedure but now I´m worried about being able to pay for it - what are my options?
You can speak with our case managers about fractioning the payment. We will offer this service on a case-to-case basis.
Do you have a question that we haven’t answered? Please get in touch via phone or email.

Prepare for your Postponed Plastic Surgery

We all have this extra time at home during isolation. Some of us are busy cleaning, spending quality time with our loved ones, or indulging in a new hobby. However, if you have plastic surgery or cosmetic treatment scheduled in the coming months, IndiCure urges you to make use of this time to make a significant difference in your recovery and healing process.

This is the perfect time to practice the pre- op preparation at home. Start with a clean diet. Eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and vitamins. This will ensure a healthy recovery. Avoid alcohol. Maintain a daily exercise routine. Although gyms are closed, you can resort to the online strengthening options.
No one knows when this situation will ease, but once it does, you will be on schedule for your postponed surgery. Keeping yourself healthy in all aspects will only foster faster healing and can even yield much better results.
 Our Last Word
Certainly, this is a very challenging period for everyone. But it is also very crucial to stay positive in the current situation. So, until the global situation improves, why not dream of a beauty vacation in India - what could be better? There is ample time to do your research on the desired procedure, request a quote from our surgeon or you can even book a tele-consultation.
You can also share your pictures of the target areas/medical reports so that we can prepare your treatment and help you with the customized cost of your surgery.
As always, your safety is our priority and we encourage you to take this time now and do your research so you are prepared well in advance. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
